                               Waiting/Finding

this kid asked me to cut his hair. i explained to him that i
have never done this in my life but he wanted me to cut his
hair and he kept asking me to, so i went for it. shaved it fully.
He wasn't very happy  when he saw himself in the mirror.
I and my friend had a great time ministering with the kids in the children’s home. We were able to help both the staffs and the kids and most of all we were able to connect with the kids and share the love of Christ. We even went to visit and pray for the kid’s relative and birth parents that were in poverty and health issues. It was very sad to leave the kids and the home and we miss them a lot. We continued to visit other children home in another district. The other home was run by a group of brothers and their family and the other one was run by a pastor. From the time we came to the pastor’s children home I and my friend were not treated properly.  We tried working with the staff but they came in expecting cloths and gifts instead of just learning how to take care of kids.
The pastor himself was rude to the kids and to see all of this happening in children’s, brought sadness for the kids. I and my friend continued to pour out to the kids and share the gospel with them. On our last day we spoke with the pastor and told him our perspective and what we thought about the home.  When the pastor heard us he wasn’t happy with us but we had to tell him to stop being rude with everyone and start being like Jesus.  The ministry that supports the home wasn’t happy how the children were taken care. Please pray that God would somehow change the heart of the pastor and the children home would get better parents to take care.

So for the last two and a half week I have been with my family and I am so glad for my family. Now I am just praying and trying to figure out what to do next. I would want to grow in my art at the same time get a job here in Bangalore.

                                                  TANAKU(south India)

It’s been a really good month for me and I would like to thank you guys for your prayers. I really am having a great time ministering at where I am and I hope this month blog will be an encouragement to you and I. In my last blog I had shared about my team and the ministry that we were doing, such as reaching out to boys prison and ministering in a children’s home. Well after ministering with the boys prison I and the team head out to another town (tanaku) and we ministered to a children’s home. We had a grand welcoming and I have never seen or been to such an amazing welcoming by the local community. They made us ride on cycle rickshaws and in five minutes there were people playing loud drums and firing fire crackers and welcoming us. We danced with the local people and headed towards the children’s home.
having game time with the kids since the staff were very strict.

We ministered to the children for eight days and every day we had programs with the kids and the staffs. The children home is being sponsored by a foreign organization and some of the members were part of the organization. I volunteered myself to help the team since they asked me when I was doing ministering in Nepal. Every program we did with the kids, we taught them about Jesus and also encouraged them and did a lot of prayer. The children home has been running for one year and they have been having a lot of problem from the land lord and neighbors. The children couldn’t play outside because the neighbors complained to the police. Since the town is still under the cast system and the man in charge of the children’s home belongs to the lower cast, they don’t have much freedom when there is a conflict with the higher cast. There was a lot of need in the children’s home so I and my friend decided to come back and help.
took the kids to the beach and had some teachings and had lots of fun.

After ministering in the children’s home we flew to Nepal and attended our friends wedding and stayed in Nepal for a week. I and my friend (Ricardo) had to come up with some ideas to help the children’s home that we were ministering to. So we decided to fly to Bangalore and talk with my mom (Tammyma) and get some advice and help. I and my friend got lot of good ideas and proper structure to run a children’s home successfully.
the boys children home with whom we are presently working with.

I and my friend went back to tanaku to be with the children’s home. So for the last two and a half week we have been helping the children and the staff. We have talked about child safety policy and what is the requirement of the parents and also trained the staff to be a better staff. In few days we will be going to another town to minister with other children’s home and also boys’ prison. We are excited and ready for the next trip to other place and please do keep us in your prayers. Thank you.

                                           CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
children from the prison.
I and the team with the local pastor in the village.
I have been doing ministry in south India for the last one week and I am with a team. Before I go further into my blog I would like to thank you for your prayers and it’s because of your prayers I am able to do great things for God. Though it’s been one week of ministry I can say me and the team have done a lot here in south India with lots of children. Every day I and the team do ministry with children that are in orphanage home and we share the Gospel and also love on them. We did worship and craft with the children and at the same time we tried to fix common stuff around the children’s home. We were able to go shopping with the kids and buy them dress and plates for eating. We had so much fun in different children’s home and we had a powerful time with them, while we taught them songs and worshiped with them.
me sharing my testimony with the prison boys.

We also did ministry with the Boys prison for three days and this was me favorite part of the ministry. There were about 150 kids in the prison and all of them had different story but they were treated with no respect and the people that took care of them always spank them. I and the team had the opportunity to minister to them through skit, songs and word of God. I was able to share my own testimony and I could relate with them and I could see their hunger for God because they came up to us for prayers. We had a blessed time with the prison kids and in just three days they were very close to I and the team.

I and the team were able to do street ministry too and we had a tough time because one of the lady in the street started cussing at us for preaching the gospel. We had seen a lot of victory and we are hoping to see more in the next village that we will be going there tomorrow. Please keep us in your prayers. Thanks.

                                                   LAST WEEK

PAINTED THIS FOR A MISSIONARY

PAINTED THIS FOR A TEAM  LEADER .
I have finished my one year commitment in Nepal and I truly thank God for helping me and also thank you for your support. I have learned a lot in just one year and I know in my heart I have dived deeper in the lord. The last two weeks for me in Nepal was a blessing because I was blessed by the church and by the community that I was living with. Before I started my journey to Nepal I prayed to God “God break my pride and more of you and less of me”. That prayer I am still praying and trying my best to live in that life style that Jesus lived on this earth. This prayer was the main key for the miracles that I saw and the blessing I have received and I am trying to master my prayer. When I look back the days I have spent in Nepal I can say that I was not alone and God was there by my side. Before I left Nepal the last two weeks there I was able to minister to children and families in both word and art.
I joined with a team from Australia for the last two weeks ministry in Kathmandu. The team did a good job in sharing the gospel and I was also blessed to see young missionary just living a missionary life. I was able to do a painting for the team and it blessed them and the church that they were from.
I am so happy and grateful to be back in home for my brother’s wedding and it went really well. It’s good to see my brothers and my family in Bangalore after a long time. Though I am not going and doing ministry in the street I am glad that I am getting refreshed in the spirit and I am able to minister to my young brother.
I feel lead by the Holy Spirit to go to another state in India and minister to the children in the children’s home. The place I will be going is called Hyderabad and I will be working with three other missionary. I don’t know what I will be doing in the long run but I know I would like to minister to people through my arts and sport and dance. Keep me in your prayers and God bless you.

                                           Bless others through my paintings.
the logo for the children's home and soon going to be printed on shirts.

I am in currently in Kathmandu and I had a very safe journey from my village. Thanks for your prayers and support. I was hoping to finish the house that I was building along with the village workmen but unfortunately it’s a monsoon season and the house had to be stopped.  It was very hard to leave my village but I know God has more things for me here in Kathmandu. It’s been two weeks since I left my village and already a lot has happened and I know there are more yet to come. I have been doing a lot of paintings for various church members and also for the children’s home and I feel blessed to be a blessing to others. Me giving freely or selling for a very cheap price has shocked many people here and my answer to them is that painting is a gift from God and so I would like to give as it was given for me.
I also have a testimony and that is God paid for my air ticket through some one. I had already booked a train ride from north India to Bangalore but two days back I just was amazed to find a missionary who was willing to pay for my ticket. Honestly I had no money in my bank, because I had spent a lot in my village on the house and my family and for the ministry. I was so happy to know that God just did a huge help and a huge favor.
Next week I will be joining a team from Australia and we will be going to another place in Nepal called Pokhara and we will be ministering to the street kids there. And the rest of my time I will be painting and spending time with the church in Kathmandu. So my time here is not very busy but it’s according to my passion and I feel very much closer to God while I do art. I am also supper excited to go back to India and meet my family and attend my brother’s wedding.  I know this will be my last time writing a news letter from Nepal but I will say that Nepal is in my heart and I will come back some day.
Got this picture after 11 years. My birth parents

                                                                        MY TESTIMONY
If you would ask me “what has God done in your life” my answer to that would be “He has brought relationship in my life”. I know there is tons of answer to that question but y answer has been my testimony from the very beginning. Many of you know my testimony but I would like to share it again. I have talked to my birth mom and sister and got their side of the story to add to my testimony and to my family testimony.
My birth mom cooking rice for me and my sis.
I was born in cultured hindu family from Nepal and I belonged to the high cast. My dad married three women including my mom. Since I was very naughty kid my dad took me to south India, thinking that I will learn and be educated. When I came to south India I didn’t like my step mom and I ran away. I stayed in the streets for couple of months and learned to survive at the age of seven. When my mom heard that I was lost she left my younger sister and went to India to search for her lost son. My sister was only 4 years old and my mom left her for five months with only 100 rupees. When my mom reached south India she went out looking for me and she got lost for two whole weeks.  My mom’s brother found her and took her to Nepal and there she lived in shame for 6 years. The village members made fun of her and my sister and took their land by force. I somehow by God’s grace was able to find myself a wonderful family in south India. That wonderful family is Kirubai children’s home.
It was only through prayers that I was able to meet my birth mom and sister after six years. So God has brought these relationships in my life and I am truly great full to God for this. It’s not a coincidence that makes my testimony but it’s through prayers and Gods will.
I have been living with my birth mom and sister for seven months. I have enjoyed living with them under a small roof and eating very simple food. I have served in my village and have shared the gospel. Village life is a tough one but I take it a joy and live with it. It’s only a matter of time I will be leaving my village and heading back to India. God has taught me a lot and I am still learning. I currently am helping my family in building a new house for them. The house is very simple but better than the house that they have been living in. they will be getting electricity for the first time. Please pray for my village and my family.

                                                         I am Blessed.

My pastor's brother wedding.
It’s been a wonderful month for me, here in far west of Nepal. I am still living in my village with my birth mom and sister. By the way it’s really hot, lots of mosquitoes at night and lot of music throughout the night. In this side of the culture people love dancing during the weddings. I am not kidding there has been marriage every day in my village and the funny thing is, my village is small. So it’s been a long time since I slept well. The couple that are getting married are always very young and when I questioned the people’s answer was that it’s part of the culture to get married at a very early age. Most of the marriages that I had attended in my village, the couples are in their teens.
His name is Bhirandhra who gave his life to Jesus .

I was invited by my pastor to help him and be part of his two brother’s marriage.  It was long three days of marriage and fact is I had no choice since he was my pastor. The reason I am sharing about marriage is because I had the opportunity to meet new people and share the gospel during marriage. I had ministered to 24 young men and I really feel like God gave me this opportunity. While ministering to these young men I shared my testimony and they amazed and 10 of them really accepted Jesus. The cool thing that I learned from this is that we should bring Jesus in every topic and we shouldn’t be shy to share the gospel.

Thank you for your prayers and support and please do continue praying for me and the people in my village.
